Ce conte raconte l’histoire d’un enfant prodigieux nommé Bandji Fall. Sa mère met au monde un bébé doté de capacités extraordinaires : il marche et parle très tôt. Très jeune, il décide de partir à la recherche de son frère Mor Fall qui est parti se marier dans le Jolof. Grâce à ses pouvoirs et à son intelligence, Bandji parvient à retrouver la trace de son frère et intervient dans son destin. L’histoire met en valeur la figure du héros précoce et les croyances liées aux enfants extraordinaires dans la tradition africaine.
